How do you clean Skechers shoes?

The way you clean your Skechers will depend on the type of footwear you own.

 

Using the washing machine: Some Skechers are machine washable and this will usually be stated on the outside of the shoebox or on product description pages. Skechers suggests placing your footwear in a pillowcase before washing on a gentle cycle.

 

For shoes which have memory foam insoles, allow them to dry for 10 to 12 hours to ensure the soles are fully dry before wearing them.

Foamies: You can hand wash or machine wash Foamies, but make sure you wash them with cold water and leave to dry out of direct sunlight.

Footwear unsuitable for washing machine use: There are many types of shoes which Skechers do not recommend machine washing. We suggest using the following steps to remove any minor marks or stains:

 

1. Remove excess dirt from the upper and outer soles by using a small brush or towel.

2. Create a warm soapy mixture by combining a few drops of laundry detergent with warm water.

3. Dip your brush or cloth into the water mixture and wipe down the affected area. Use clean warm water to remove any residue soap.

4. Let the shoes air dry.
   
   

 

Leather Skechers: Just like any other leather shoe, Skechers recommend treating your shoes with a leather polish. This will keep your leather shoes supple and looking shiny.

Suede or nubuck shoes: Suede and nubuck can be tricky to clean. To start, dry brush the shoes with a soft brush or dry rubber sponge to remove any excess dirt.

If there are any stubborn stains, you should look into purchasing stain remover suitable for this material. Machine or hand washing this type of shoe will ruin the fabric.
